New Law for Nightlife Safety in California

Starting July 1, 2024, California's nightlife venues will see a significant safety upgrade with the enactment of AB 1013. This new law, introduced by Assembly member Josh Lowenthal (D-Long Beach), requires bars and nightclubs with a Type 48 license to offer kits for testing common date-rape drugs and to display signs informing patrons about their availability.

The law aims to combat drink spiking by empowering patrons to test their drinks if they suspect tampering. Establishments must provide these kits. Failure to comply could result in administrative actions impacting their licenses.

In line with this law, we are happy to introduce our Rapid Beverage Test Strip to detect GHB, Ketamine, and benzodiazepines. With this test strip you can enjoy your social experiences with the confidence that you're protected from malicious drink tampering.

Your safety is our top priority. Stay Safe Fam!
